[edit: oh the dreaded bandwidth exceeded sign…I’m uploading images to a new server right now, and it should all be back up in an hour…meanwhile, the videos are STILL UP! Just click on each of the signs in each chapter.]
Ok. I’m replaying the game and have all the solutions up documented. That includes the circular puzzles peeps have been asking about. If you find that the text/image solutions aren’t helping you, mouseover – there are videos for EVERY one of these puzzles minus the last one.
I’m getting a lot of messages regarding the library puzzle. So it’s getting its own post.
There are also:
Hints for the more difficult puzzles as well as individual posts on Matchsticks, Squares, Pipes, and Shapes.

Chapter 3 end circular jigsaw solution video
Here’s the trick: rotate the two circles that has white lines on the outside to line them up with each other. If you look carefully you can see the impression of these lines on the left side even after your mouse left them. Then rotate the outside to match those two. Once you think you have all three lined up, drag the middle circle and keep dropping it so the game would lock it into place once the entire thing lines up.
Chapter 4
The Boat – Take the coffee and spyglass. Pour coffee down the drain. Open cupboard. Use code in lock. Get Morse code from logbook. Use Morce code in machine. The radar should give you a new bearing. Click on the wheel area and pull the crank. Change bearing to new number. Use spyglass on ship.

hey, thank you very much for all your hard work, absolutely wonderful. i could use some help with the dreaded matchstick and pipe puzzle have tried about 20 times with no luck any help would be appreciated
June 30, 2007 at 9:21 pm
Matchstick puzzles – which one? Most of the time you just have to think outside of the box. (like the 4 square to 3 – 4 square to 3 squares that doesn’t touch except for corners)
Pipes – just keep clicking around until they match up…I haven’t had a problem with it though. Try doing it from the start point to the end point and fix things along the way.
June 30, 2007 at 9:47 pm
I can not figure out the Painting Piece Puzzle at the end of Chap. 3 Can you help??
Thanks,

thats the one that is all circles and only each is only visible when the cursor is on each one?
start with the outer circle and rotate it, then the second then the third then the inner one..look close, you will see faint dark impressions…line up the pattern according to those impressions, they are very faint but they are there, I did it in two tries, but needed a teenager to point out the fact there was impressions on the board..give it a try and let me know.

How do you acquire more orbs?. I have used all of mine and the robot puzzle is kicking my butt
July 1, 2007 at 3:47 am
I have played the pipe puzzle a couple of times with ni problems. Now, it does not matter how “perfect” my solution is the game does not recognise it. I have checked that there are no open ends. I have played as different players and it is as though the pipes will not play out. Has anyone else had this problem?
July 1, 2007 at 11:08 am
Can’t get the pipe puzzle or the first matchstick either. Even though I’ve seen how to do the matchstick one, the last matchstick just won’t go where it “should” Same with the pipes. It looks to me like it matches what is asked for and I can’t for the life of me figure out what I’m missing.
July 1, 2007 at 11:57 am
well the pipes seem to be working now. The matchsticks have defeated me all the way through
July 1, 2007 at 12:09 pm
I can’t get the pipes game to work at all. HELP! I have never played this type of game…and it appears that I have a connection from the gas tank to the furnace. Will there be extra, unused parts? If a line ends with a valve, will that stop the flow and allow the gas to flow to the furnace?
HELP! HELP!
I have finished all the other mini puzzles this far several times and then run out of time trying to figure out the pipes.

Still not able to get the pipes to work.
July 1, 2007 at 8:43 pm
I am having a problem in the library. I have played all of the mini games I can get into that aren’t locked and nothing happens. I haven’t any problems with the ones I can play, how many times do you have to play them until you unlock the locked games. I go back to the library and all of the highlighted areas have a message,”The next puzzles are locked. We need to find the magic in this room.” Where is the magic?
July 1, 2007 at 9:52 pm
Margaret: move your mouse around the parlor until it starts to sparkle but NOT on your desk. You need to find the magic to unlock the next chapter.
Usually that’s represented by a hint (a drawing of the area where the magic is) but if you missed that the mouse will hint it if you carefully move it over the area.
July 2, 2007 at 12:06 pm
I have the lat and lon, I don’t get it. I find the points, tried to vert them, tried everything, and still it says nothing happens. Arg! Help?
July 2, 2007 at 12:13 pm
Take the two numbers and find them on the map.
You have to find the exact coordinates and click. You might have missed the – in front of first number and the N/S on the second.
July 2, 2007 at 1:10 pm

July 2, 2007 at 1:12 pm
I have solved all the clues for the BIrthday and have the numbers that spell out abracadabra have tried placing darts on each number in turn to spell out the word but the game only accepts the first one. What am I doing wrong?
July 2, 2007 at 1:23 pm
I have the same problem in chapter 7, the library with the coordinates. They don’t match and the hint keeps saying the same thing. What am i doing wrong?
July 2, 2007 at 6:16 pm
i am in clockwork, i have found everything but when i try to use the stick on the alarm clock, it says nothing happens and also when i try to place the second bell on the cuckoo clock it sends it right back to the inventory box, the only thing it has let me do is unlock the box and use the first bell on the soldier clock…please please help…im almost done

How do you earn orbs?
I have started from the beginning again and am solving the puzzles much quicker, without using an orb.
I have done 2 puzzles in chapter three but only have the orbs awarded at the very beginning plus one from the beginning of chapter 2. Nothing yet for chapter 3, so no reward for finishing chapter 2?

Tina,
This one had be fuming for quite a while. Then I realised you have to be very precise with the pointer. Right in the middle of the arrow pointing to the symbol or it will reset. Hope this helps.
July 4, 2007 at 7:22 am
ok i got the azada strategy guide from big fish games even got to pay for it lol heres the page addy to download from
http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-games/1723/azada-strategy-guide/index.html
there is no solution to the pipes level in it just tells yato block all valves.
for the symbal game go here to get a blank saduko page and print it out like i did
http://sudoku.com.au/blankgrids.aspx
then write the symbals on it at the bottom changeing them to numbers like this
heart-h=1 and so on then laminate it and use a dry erase marker to write in the squarse the transfered # from the symbal to the # then go here
http://www.sudokusolver.com/
and sign up for a free account and then put the # in the solver and click solve and wala u have the answer lol oh and by the way when u go into the symbals page in the game don’t click the ok bubble over the game yet if u leave it up u can write all your answers on the laminated sheet first . u can get almost all of them if u look really close u can see thru the bubble and what u can’t see u should be able to get fast when u click it .
i do have a question tho can u get more orbs if u go back and play some of the games again without starting all over again?
thanks and hope this helps u all
sherry

July 4, 2007 at 5:26 pm
It should play right on the page here – It’s listed right above the text “Chapter 4.” I think you might be missing the flash plugin if you’re using firefox, or similar if you’re using Internet Explorer.
You can download the flash plugin here:

chinese checkers…can’t believe it..I’m stuck on a simple hop over the marble game..
July 5, 2007 at 4:48 pm
kris, go to stavanger-guide.no/pegged.txt
gives you direction for the 31 moves to win the game leaving just one or none marbles, try it helped me
July 5, 2007 at 9:41 pm
terri/ no problem. Mostly I just documented as I went.
Connect 3…I just kept clicking on mix until pieces I needed showed up over the squares. I’m not sure if it gives you a penalty and it didn’t seem to. Were you trying to get 3 in a rows? They just have to connect – diagonally or in a line or in a bunch.
kris/ the hop-over-the-marbles game is actually English peg solitaire. It CAN be solved in 19 moves with no diagonal moves, but can be solved in even less with diagonal moves. Thankfully, Azada allowed diagonal…tried it yet?
If not, check the 19 moves solution here:
http://www.geocities.com/gibell.geo/pegsolitaire/EnglishResults.html
It’s halfway to near bottom of the page.

ch 4 – the ball game. I can press with the mouse left or right button, or the keyboard nothing happens. Any advice?
July 6, 2007 at 10:00 pm
There are four arrow buttons directly under the board with the ball. I know. Very confusing.
July 7, 2007 at 1:23 am
Hi. Great site although I’m trying to workout the puzzles myself as much as possible. I do have a question though … if you need to re-read the instructions to a puzzle … how do you do that? I have found that I am doing the second peg game and the first one was leave 4 pegs which I did and I mistakedly assumed that it was the same for the second peg puzzle. Not so. I will keep working at it until I figure it out. In the meantime, if you know how to get the instructions again I’d appreciate it. Thanks.
July 7, 2007 at 1:52 am
Sally, I just finished the game, thanks to your help… And sorry to be a noodj, but
in the Birthday Party, you said “Now take all the messages and spell acrabadabra.” I think you meant to say “spell abracadabra” but most people already figured that out. Anyhow, GREAT SITE and I appreciate all your hard work.
July 7, 2007 at 10:19 am
Jeff/ thanks for the correction – I’ll fix it. 🙂
(P.S. I had no idea how to spell abracadabra. Now I do…)
July 7, 2007 at 11:49 am
this site is awesome!! i’m glad to know another mommy fan of bigfish games!! 🙂
July 7, 2007 at 6:35 pm
They mention a password at the end is there any point for it.
July 8, 2007 at 1:12 am
I too am inquiring about the code at the end… Is there something that we can do to continue or is it the sequel that is coming soon?
July 8, 2007 at 9:20 pm
I can’t make the scale work like in your video. The stones you chose won’t work for me. Do they change?
July 8, 2007 at 10:20 pm
Yes, they do change. You have to find 3 stones that would make the sparkling line shine JUST below the other side of the scale.
Pretty much everything in this game is randomized – codes, weights, coordinates…that’s too cool.
July 9, 2007 at 6:07 am
Hi,
I can’t get past the library… I fill out the coordinates, but nothing happens (after I got everything started). When I ask for help (the purple eye, costs 5 minutes of the time, but I already restarted that particular chapter 3 times, so I have loads of it) it says that my wood had burned up. But I can’t reload it… Any help is appreciated!
July 9, 2007 at 6:14 am
*edit*
(Can’t edit my post, so therefor a new one)
I have to go to 70 and 30N.
The 70 has no N or S behind it. When I find 70 it just goes away when I look for 30 N… What am I doing wrong?
July 9, 2007 at 6:16 am
Another post to let you know that I did it!
You need the first number in front of the comma and the second after the comma! 🙂
July 9, 2007 at 6:23 am
im on the clocks! last puzzle in this level……i have joined the bell with the stick and its in the clock! i have given the soldier his bell……have opened the box…..have done all i have to do….but the bloomin soldier clock is already set to 12 and i have watched the vid…..what the heck am i doing wrong now?
July 9, 2007 at 12:37 pm
Tina/ it’s already set to 12?
Once you have the box open, you should get a code. For example:
Soldier
cuckoo
wake up
soldier
Then you just have to change the clock times in THAT order. soldiers and cuckoo to 12 and wake up to (in my case 5 pm) I’ve never seen it already set to 12, but try spinning one of the hands all the way around so it’s back to 12 again.
July 9, 2007 at 9:56 pm
I downloaded azada’s trial version from big fish games, and i was hooked. I bought it tonight and sat down and played all the way through, i just beat it. It’s an excellent game, i loved all the puzzles, the only ones i had problems with were the matchstick puzzles. I got help from my younger sister on those ;). Anything i can do to help out, let me know, i’m happy to help.
July 10, 2007 at 12:49 am
I cant get past that robot in Chapter 6. No more orbs left.. I need more orbs or a hint to get past the robot.
July 11, 2007 at 1:09 am
I need help with the connect dots in Chapter 6. Any help would be appreciated..computer is too fast sabatoging my moves.
July 11, 2007 at 9:15 am
vivyan/ you mean the “squares” game? The key is to NOT progress towards making squares, but avoid making them. Wait until the computer forms 3 sides, then move in for the kill.
In the end game, try to only let the computer get the smaller areas, so that when it does take a turn it’d be forced to draw a line in a bigger area so YOU would be able to take the squares there.

I love this game and need some help with The Balancing Act. I am at the end where you need to use dictionary with the combination to finish the puzzle. I have the combination but it keeps telling me that I need to decipher the code. Am I missing something or it there a problem and I need a patch to fix? I only have 12 mins left and don’t want to waste them since this charter took me 3 tries and 2 hours! Thanks
July 12, 2007 at 5:02 pm
I love this game and I love this site…just about done and I am stuck on the study.Picked up the potions and pot and now not sure where to put the pot.I put the first potion on the letter and now can’t seem to get any further…need a little help…then I will try this game all over again. Thanks again for all your help
July 12, 2007 at 9:09 pm
The final puzzle in the study doesn’t pop up for me. I never did it. What’s up?
July 12, 2007 at 9:25 pm
Maria/ there shouldn’t be a problem – are you using the dial like a combination lock? like 3 to the left, 1 to the right etc?
Sydney/ You don’t have to put the pot anywhere – just keep it in your inventory until you mixed the desired color in it, then use it directly on the sheet of paper you find. (check the video)
July 13, 2007 at 9:34 am
Hi Sally, I am trying to use it as a combination but it keeps telling me that I need to decipher the code…any suggestions? Thanks!
July 13, 2007 at 10:07 am
If you did decipher the code right and used it properly then there is a bug but I didn’t encounter it.
July 13, 2007 at 11:01 am
I guess my question to you Sally is: how do I know I have deciphered the code. I clicked on the dictionary in the cave and clicked on the box (combination opens) tried to use the combination and it tells me that I need to decipher. Any clue?
July 13, 2007 at 11:19 am
Well, the dictionary would tell you what each symbol means. Did you watch the video?
I clicked on dictionary, then the dial with the combination along the bottom, decoded it, then used it like a combination lock.
July 14, 2007 at 8:11 am
Thankyou for all your help! great game, but is there any point in the words “Magic Book” are there any more puzzles coming?
July 14, 2007 at 9:42 am
I am having trouble in the machine room. Can’t seem to get the code right for the arm to pick up crystal. I know the the buttons. Help. And thanks for all the help already given.
July 14, 2007 at 10:51 am
I finally did the balancing act! Thanks for all your help! My combination was different than that of the video! It was fun and I didn’t have to start from the beginning again. I had 2 minutes to spare. I appreciate all the feedback:)
July 14, 2007 at 11:24 am
It seems Im having just as many problems as others with this library! I cant seem to get the coordinates right. It says 52 and then 72N. Ive tried moving the mouse to the number 52 wherever it is on the map (left side AND right side), clicked, and nothing. I try 72N and get nothing when I click as well. What am I doing wrong??? Do I have to hold the mouse drag and do something like that? Ive tried that but that doesnt seem to work either. Shift key? Ugh!!!!!
July 14, 2007 at 11:26 am
great site
July 15, 2007 at 9:51 am
K/ you need to find the coordinate (52, 72N) TOGETHER.
July 16, 2007 at 1:32 am
the solution for the last scene is like this:
1st we mix all the potion in the pot to make a green colour (perhaps only magenta and yellow, but till to find I had put all the potions in). Then we through on the paper twice the reed potion and once the potion from the pot.
I also thanks alot for the solution at the puzzles with matchsticks.
A most helpfull site for the peg solitaire (esp. when is needed to leave 2-3 I think) is http://www.mathematische-basteleien.de/solitaire.htm
Thanks a lot

Hi ,
Can anyone help me please .
How can i come to the final puzzle ?
All what I see is the man from the picture.
Please help me.
Bye melanie
July 16, 2007 at 8:07 am
Now I know!…How to solve the library puzzle!
I read in some answer about using both sets of numbers and have a comma in between.
I will try that and I hope, hope, hope that I can go further after that.
I have so much wanted to go on playing.
I’s a wonderful game.
I will try! Now! Cross your fingers, please! Christina
July 16, 2007 at 8:38 pm
melanie/ if the man in the puzzle is already standing there, you’ve already solved the final puzzle.
I’ve written up a post for the library coordinates puzzle here:

How do I put the numbers from the chalkboard into the computer in the science lab? I don’t see any usable number keys…
July 18, 2007 at 11:08 am
Nevermind… finally got it… LOL
July 18, 2007 at 12:52 pm
Congratulations on your great work!
I’m having a problem with the tangram puzzles, the pieces don’t rotate. I don’t know how I can get more orbits (on first tangram I used one). Does anyone have this problem and knows how to work it out?
July 18, 2007 at 2:01 pm
First, thank you so much for all your hard work! This was an amazing walkthrough, and the best I’ve ever found, for any game!
Now, a favor – HELP! I’m about to take a crowbar to the Robot (if I could)! This doesn’t seem to be random locations, so is there a “click path” available? He just moves too fast for me to get ahead!
Thank you muchly!!! 🙂
July 18, 2007 at 2:21 pm
Darlene/
I didn’t even think about documenting the robot, but I guess different people find different puzzles annoying. (I personally found the round and round to be skip-worthy.)
The key to the robot is to stay 4 steps ahead of it at all times. If it’s moving too fast, try giving it detours by not making direct paths to the batteries. BTW – you’re not trying to put an arrow on EVERY square of his path, right? one at every turn will do.

July 19, 2007 at 7:16 pm
Sally, many thanks for ALL your help! Couldn’t have completed this game without you and all your hard work in compiling this wonderful walk-through!
BTW, your links were great too and so helpful.
Especially the English Peg Board solver! And who can forget those Matchstick puzzles!
Many thanks again
Annie
July 20, 2007 at 9:38 pm
First of all, great site! I’m stuck on the fill-in-the shapes puzzle, early on. I just can’t get the shapes to rotate. Is this a bug? I’ve even restarted the game and can’t get any better results. I read all the replies and noticed that at least one other person had the same problem. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated!
July 20, 2007 at 11:48 pm
Thanks a lot, you’ve been a big help. I almost gave up on this game until I found your link on answersyahoo.com. Again, thanks.
July 21, 2007 at 4:07 pm
I think it might be a bug – you can always re-download the game from the fish and I think it will work. My earlier version had problem with the numbers puzzles.

Chapter 7, Puzzle by numbers. Is anyone else having trouble making the game recognize your solution? I had no trouble with the first couple of these, but now it won’t take my answers no matter what i do. It says find 7….i click 9 – 2…then nothing….I click 8-1….then nothing. All the squares are properly lit, the answers are correct, the game just doesn’t recognize it. I’ve replayed the chapter twice with the same problem. I’ve now used my orbs to get past it and then got whammied by the robot. SO, no orbs to skip with, and it won’t take my answers. HELP!! please?
July 22, 2007 at 7:49 pm
Hi Tammy,
Uninstall your version of the game and download it again from Big Fish Games. There’s a new version out (you have to check your version number of the game.
Right now, when I go in to “options” it says 1.0.2 above the “credits” button, and everything works.
July 22, 2007 at 11:17 pm
Thank you Sally. I’m trying that now. Thanks for all of your AWESOME help and tips.
July 22, 2007 at 11:25 pm
Well, I tried and it didn’t work. My version is 1.0.2 and I swear to you I can do simple math. What should I do next? Try to go back and get an orb? Does it work that way?
July 23, 2007 at 12:21 am
just wanted to say thank you for all the help just just started to play the game for the second time an i love it as much as i did the frist time hope they have more games like this one bye for now
July 23, 2007 at 2:12 am
Tammy, I had the same problem you did. On the 2nd Numbers one, you have to do double subtraction: i.e.., they ask for 7, so you do 7-1-1 . Tricky stuff, eh?
Personally, I’m stuck on the Private Eye. The game bugged, letting me attach the ball to the mouse without the tape. Now I can’t attach the tape nor do anything else to get the key in the hole! Any idea how to reset that room or even this whole chapter?
July 23, 2007 at 2:13 am
My bad, I can’t do basic math at 2 in the morning 🙂
They ask for 7, so you do 9-1-1. Or they ask for 3 and you do 8-2-3. You get the picture.
July 24, 2007 at 8:14 am
I am in balacing act.

July 25, 2007 at 9:15 am
Dianne,
I think secret code is “Magic book”.
I have a feeling this has something to do with sequel game.

bee/ check my pipes walkthrough -btw, the pipes are randomized so there is no way for me to solve it for you. But I have strategies posted.
July 26, 2007 at 10:58 pm
hi sally. thanks! was able to do the first pipes puzzle in chapter 3. now, i don’t find it as hard as i did the first time 🙂 this is really an addicting game
July 27, 2007 at 8:18 am
hiii … i am new in this game ..i get a stuped problem . i just can’t find any magical item to click on to begin the puzzle in chapter 3 can any body help
July 27, 2007 at 11:37 am
Does anyone else DESPISE the puzzle with the colored squares? I match one color to the square and then find I have to move it out again in order to get another color into a box nearby! I HATE this puzzle. I spend so much time on it that I never can finish the level. I would rather do 15 pipe puzzles than this crazy thing. I’m sure there’s a method to it, but I haven’t found it!
July 27, 2007 at 12:32 pm
Thank you so much for all your directives. You saved me it a couple of really bothersome rooms.
I have finished me first time through. When I start a new game it asks about deleting my previous progress. Do I? Does that lead to the next book or does it make me start over?
And…what about the room with the individual games on shelves? Are those just for practice? Or do we have to do them in order to get to something else.
Thanks again.
Paula
July 27, 2007 at 12:47 pm
Hi Sally,
I think it’s great that you have spent so much time on this! Like a few others’ questions, I have the same one.
I have now set Titus free twice and still have no idea what to do with ‘Magic Book’…if there are more levels to this game, is that how we access them-though I can not seem to go anywhere other than to the library where the completed games are located or to where that rascal Titus stands looking all smug and arrogant! IS this code something related to a sequel?
Thanks, Irene
July 27, 2007 at 4:48 pm
Magic book = Azada’s sequel in the hopefully near future. 🙂
room full of puzzles on shelves = yes, just for fun. It doesn’t really give you anything if you play them.
Round and Round = the most pointless, annoying, time-consuming puzzle ever. I reserve my orbs for it.
July 28, 2007 at 10:35 pm
I have such a problem with the Matchsticks!! I can never get them to go where I want them to. They automatically revert to their original position. GRRRRR!! Can anyone give me the general idea about Matchstick games? I have never played them before, although I have seen them around. Do they have to touch/not touch? Do the red tips have anything to do with anything? I’m stuck on the fish one in Chapter 9 (I know they change).
I made it through a couple of them, by luck, I can assure you! 🙂
Thanks in advance for any ideas!! ;-0

Anyone having trouble with the CRYSTAL PICK UP “DEVICE” MACHINE? There are 6 buttons. Start from the left, first button is #1 and last button is #6.
HERE IS THE SOULTION FOR CRYSTAL PICK UP.
Hit #1 button twice
Hit #2 button three times
Hit #5 button once
Hit #4 button twice
Hit #3 button five times
Hit #6 button once
This should pick up the crystal. GOOD LUCK!

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE POTION CUP HAS TO SIT AT THE VERY END OF THE GAME?
July 29, 2007 at 8:03 pm
Lori,
You have to “pour” the red twice on the paper, then mix the the blue and the yellow in the cup, and then put it on the paper. (Best recollection – hope it helps.)
August 1, 2007 at 12:28 pm
Hello!
I’m having problems solving the slide puzzle in chapter six. Can someone help me.
Thanks
Theresa
August 1, 2007 at 1:09 pm
Theresa, I think the slider puzzles are randomly generated but I could be wrong.
I didn’t have trouble with it but that’s probably because I used to play Traffic Jam a lot. Just remember that the box that needs to leave sometimes need to move backwards as well as forwards a few times before it can get out.
August 1, 2007 at 1:24 pm
could someone please post a screenshot of the damn pipe puzzle solution, pleeeaasse
August 1, 2007 at 1:52 pm
winger/ the pipes puzzles are RANDOMLY generated, so my screenshot will not match your puzzle. You can go ahead and read my pipes strategy linked from this walkthrough.
August 1, 2007 at 2:52 pm
Thanks Sally.
August 2, 2007 at 1:51 am
In answer to Match Three.. the tiles go dark as you’re clearing the page.. you’ll see once you start! You can still go over the dark tiles if you need to clear the pics near them that are still light. You can mix a lot near the end. Hope that helps.. I got through in three minutes!
August 2, 2007 at 9:35 am
The Tiles: I found that no matter what color it was, once I placed a square in the #1 position, it turned tan. #2, it turned silver, and #3, it was red. Hope that helps!
The Matchsticks: the one I had most difficulty with was the fish. however, once I figured out that I needed to make “two fins” on the bottom and fill in the square, it was cake. My best advice? Think out of the box!
August 5, 2007 at 5:56 am
The Dartboard, don’t try and put the darts into the numbers as i was doing, just point your cursor at the numbers in turn in spelling abracadabra,eg
ab maybe 8
so click on that on the dartboard, but make sure you have got the darts when you do it.
August 5, 2007 at 4:51 pm
how do you get through the towers. i have 5 rings?can’t seem to figure it out!!!!!!
August 5, 2007 at 8:43 pm
Yea, I was wondering when I finished the game the code “Magic Book” came up, is there a sequel to this game yet? It was really fun

August 11, 2007 at 12:16 pm
Regina/ the game is pretty specific about where the matches go. Did you check my matchsticks walkthrough? It’s linked through the top.
August 11, 2007 at 9:42 pm
On the last chapter and ran out of time. I had already used my last orb to get past the dreaded coloured circle puzzle so when it took me back to the beginning of the chapter, my orb was gone. There is NO WAY that I can complete that puzzle so is there a way to get orbs back??
August 12, 2007 at 11:21 pm
Sally, I finally figured it out but you were right. Thank you for the help. This sight is wonderful.
August 13, 2007 at 7:35 am
Sally,
Do you know that once I didn’t believe in angels. Now I do. The first time I was sure, was when you helped me with the coordinates. I didn’t thank you then, but now: THANK YOU. You have unknowingly helped me with other puzzles as well.
Now I have played the whole ASADA many times. Every time I have been using the orbs on the Robot. Maybe next time I will try to manage that one too.
I love the rest of the puzzles except for the numbers. They are booooring!
But the rest is just a wonderful way to spend your time.
I am eagerly waiting for the “Magic Book”!

August 16, 2007 at 5:58 pm
I keep loseing the marble. How do you stop it totry to get it to the goal?
August 17, 2007 at 9:22 am
this is an amazing site for hints but i am sooo frustrated with the whole library thing, am getting nowhere with it, am i just thick or am i missing something my coordinates are -6 38n this time any help would be appreciated thanks, and thankls sally you reign supreme in the game walkthrough world
August 17, 2007 at 11:31 am
Marbles – you have to bounce them off off the square blocks to get to the goal, and use the arrows at the bottom of the screen to move them.
Joan, you might want to check out my library coordinates walkthrough:
That should clear things up. If not, contact me!

Hi Sally had already read the library walkthrough, i had an overactive mouse lol and couldnt get on coordinates easily i have now changed that and get on them perfectly but still no luck just keeps saying nothing happens am i supposed to click or wait, and i read in other post about commas? just cant get this came all this way with your help hope you can guide me through this too thanks
August 18, 2007 at 1:17 pm
if your numbers are -6 38N, you need to move the mouse around the map until the first number reads (-6, 38N)
Move your mouse from left to right until you find -6, then move it up and down (and stay on the -6 as the first number) until the second number reads 38N.

Please help.
August 19, 2007 at 10:16 am
Hi May, did you click on the image I have posted? It links to a video. You need to find out exactly where the pin goes first, before you put the pins on the voodoo doll.

August 23, 2007 at 9:05 am
hi rosselen maybe i can help, each symbol equates to either a number or left or right, the code is underneath in symbols and the paper tells you what each symbol means, if it says for instance 3R 1L turn the symbol 3 dots to the right then 1 turn to the left and follow the pattern for the code you were given, mine was, 3R 1L 3R 1L, hope this helps

Can’t figure out the Chapter 9 pawns game. Help, please?
August 24, 2007 at 3:41 pm
Found that other thing about the pawns, but now like in the other posts about Balancing Act it keeps telling me to decipher the code and I have a different one than the video, and don’t understand which way to move the arrow when it says right and left.
August 24, 2007 at 3:50 pm
Took ten minutes, but finally figured it out. Tip for others who get stuck here… if you already did some of the numbers, don’t start over from the beginning, check how many tabs you have on the sides of the box, then go to the next number from where you left off. Otherwise, you get really stuck and waste time like I did.

August 26, 2007 at 7:25 pm
I need help with the Sequences How do I find the symbol in sequence? This is before chapter 7
What is orbs? How do you get them and how do you use them.
I finally got the towers. I took 5 different size rings and worked it out on my table top.
August 26, 2007 at 8:02 pm
Arla/ sequences – it’s like one of those number puzzles where you have to figure out what comes next:
black moon – black star – white star – ?
? would be white moon.
You use the arrows to change the symbols.
Orbs are rewarded automatically at the end of SOME chapters. I’m not sure how that works, but you can use them to solve puzzles.
August 27, 2007 at 9:42 am
What’s really annoying me atm is the bricks puzzle in chapter 7 – I do the pattern right according to the number guide but NOTHING happens. I do it to the different angle according to the picture guide and still nothing happens – it’s annoying as all hell!
August 27, 2007 at 10:58 am
Thank you Sally. I will try the sequences again.
How do I find the Orbs and how do I use them?

im stuck on the end of level 4 please help me some one
August 27, 2007 at 9:06 pm
sally how do you know what to set the clock times at thanks rosellen
August 29, 2007 at 3:26 am
Has anyone else had time problems? Most of the puzzles give you like 30-45min to complete them but often I’ll open one up and find I’ve only got 15sec left when I’ve NEVER played that puzzle within that chapter before! It’s really annoying ’cause it resets EVERYTHING!
August 30, 2007 at 4:33 am
Resha. The number guide for the bricks in chapter 7 is wrong – it’s rotated 90 degrees anticlockwise. Ignore it and copy the picture in the bottom left of the screen – the bricks form a kind of arrow pointing up. For people with problems with the matches, I’ve noticed that even if you get an answer that seems right, it won’t be accepted if the matches aren’t in the places the game wants them to be. You need to try re-creating the shapes in different positions. The matches sparkle when they are in the “right” place.

August 31, 2007 at 8:16 am
What am I doing wrong in Connect 3? Do you just have to keep radomly clicking? How do you know what you have already clicked? Am I silly? HELP HELP HELP! No one else seems to have this problem! (Help!!!)
August 31, 2007 at 9:44 am
betheneol/ you’re going to have to be more specific for us to lend any help. 🙂
Claire/ You have to break the walls BEHIND the symbols. If you’re making matches all over the place, you probably missed a block somewhere. There are unlimited shuffles. Take advantage of that.
August 31, 2007 at 9:50 am
I have completed the game many times, at first the pipe puzzle got me so frustrated but I figured a way that made it easier for me, I start to rotate the pipes from the bottom, I hope this hint helps anyone who got annoyed at them as much as I did. Thanks Sally for all your help.
August 31, 2007 at 3:39 pm
i finished all the papers on level 4, but can’t get past the jigsaw-like thing after the papers. is that specific enough?
August 31, 2007 at 6:19 pm
Is the jigsaw-like thing an octagon in the middle? If so, the pieces will work with the narrow point facing towards the corners.

How do you know what time to set the alarm clock in chpt 10? I can get the other clocks to ring but don’t know the time for alarm clock. HELP
September 2, 2007 at 3:53 am
what comes after Chapter 10 and you’ve free’d the guy? He gave me a code word and said it could be used later? ANY IDEAS ON THIS ONE?
PS – Leslie (post 210) – there is a smaller clock face (alarm time) in the alarm clock – match up the clock hands to what the alarm is set for and the bell will go off. Also – you don’t have to set the other clocks to any particular time, they just have to hit the hour so they chime. Hope that helps!

I can’t t trough the towers in chapter 2
September 5, 2007 at 9:07 pm
I’m almost to the end! I’ve set all the clocks to the proper times, and the screen flashes and goes to the bottom of the ring with the sequence. Looks like it should complete the puzzle, but nothing happens. Is this a bug?
Thanks for a GREAT site!
September 5, 2007 at 9:42 pm
Joyce, what do you mean by “the screen flashes and goes to the bottom of the ring with the sequence”?
If you’ve done the sequence as shown by the list from the music box, the scroll should appear in the music box as soon as you’ve set the clocks.
September 6, 2007 at 1:01 pm
Sally, please help…I’ve freed the man, but he says you can continue with the password ‘magic book’ how do I continue?
September 6, 2007 at 4:23 pm
I’m pretty sure my program has a bug. I’ve reloaded it and still get the same problem with the clock room. Once the clocks are set, there is a flash below the window with the code, but nothing happens. Is there a way to get past this bug?
Thanks for your help.
September 7, 2007 at 11:26 am
Joyce, could you send me a screenshot? Hit WindowsKey + PrtScn, then edit ->paste into a graphic program like windows paint. Save it as a jpeg file and upload it onto a server of some sort and we’ll take a look.
If you got the game off the Fish, there shouldn’t be any problems since they developed it and they will have the latest version.

Hello, an somebody help me with the round and round puzzle ?
Thankyou
September 8, 2007 at 11:55 am
Sally your hints are great I guess its just understanding terminology. the Library is really easy after you understand. ex: -146 and 78N you go straight to the -146,78N its all in one not two seperate places
September 10, 2007 at 6:47 pm
Hi Sally and everyone else involved in creating Azada. What a GREAT GAME !
I enjoyed everything about it. I bought it on 21st August and have just completed it today 11th September, 22 days later.
Does the code “Magic Book ” refer to a sequel to Azada?
Thanks again for your help and for exercising my brain in an entertaining game.
kind regards,
Jenni Coopeer

Thanks Sally, it helped alot, now what about chapter 4, in round and round?..i dont understand the instructions on what to do.
September 21, 2007 at 3:44 pm
Round and Round – you have to place the color boxes inside the same color outlines. It’s the most annoying puzzle ever…good luck!
I saved all my spheres for it, personally.
October 7, 2007 at 11:48 am
Dear Sally,
Thanx fot all your help. I finished the game and can’t wait for the sequel!!!!!!!

what can i do with the final “sectet code” that the book guy gives at the end of the game.
October 17, 2007 at 1:56 pm
Ch. 10, Birthday Party, I know this should be an easy one, but for the life of me, it will not allow me to spell ABRACADABRA, I use the darts in the sequence to spell it, but it will only let me spell the first 2 letters..AB, what am i doing wrong?
October 29, 2007 at 2:08 pm
re: archangel …by finishing the game, you will get a secret code, i wrote to bigfish, and they said you will use that code when the new game comes out…coming soon they said and to check often.

November 4, 2007 at 8:32 pm
How do you get to book 2 in Azada if there is one? We finished the whole book 1 but then it told us a password to remember but we don’t know what to do next to start the new book.
November 9, 2007 at 1:37 pm
Dana…i wrote to bigfish, the creator of the game, the password they gave you at the end of the game, you use that for book 2, which is not out yet, the email stated to check back often at bigfish website because they put new games on the website each day. guess we just have to wait.
November 22, 2007 at 6:39 pm
it was fun to complete…i did it on my own but a friend needed some help so we got here …nice walkthrough anyways..:) i spent like 10 min on the last puzzle don’t knowing wtf to do..:P

Thanks Pat
December 7, 2007 at 11:11 am
Ok… How about the puzzle at the end of Chapter 4? Icant seem to figure it out! ACK!
December 11, 2007 at 5:54 pm
Hi all,
I’m LOVIN’ this game; can’t wait for the sequel!!! Am also very grateful for the tips offered on here, particularly where the matchstick teasers are concerned (I can get the 4-to-3 triangles no problem, but the squares left me mystified).
I offer solutions to questions that didn’t seem to get responses:
1. The Shapes (rotating squares, triangles, etc. into a pre-defined shape). You can’t rotate the pieces with a single mouse button; you need to hold one button down while clicking the second button to rotate. However, you can use one button to drag the pieces into the outline. Similarly…
2. …in Final Approach (ball, bumpers, exit hole), you need to hold one mouse button down, and click the second button on the directional arrows below. I used to think you had to be quick on the draw to make the ball change direction even as it traveled, a task I found impossible and that made me skip this puzzle; turns out you guide the ball from bumper to bumper until it directly aligns with the exit.
3. The same holds true again for “The Tomb”, “Balancing Act” and “Clockwork” (I think); point at the desired position and hold one mouse button down, then click on the second button and drag to move the dial or clock hand.
4. One small clarification regarding the walkthru for “The Kitchen”…the numbers found in the ice refer to the date, NOT the radio frequency; navigate to the date via the calendar on the wall, THEN set the radio to corresponding frequency.
5. As for “Birthday Party, if the game doesn’t recognize your solution, you could be “spelling” the word “ABRACADABRA” incorrectly. There are two instances of “AB”; look carefully at each instance to see if there’s a fragment of another letter before it.

I’m in the chapter of The Basement. I can’t get the pawns puzzle figured out. I know you have to start with the outer corners, but i cant figure it out.. Any help??
grtz, Joyce.
December 16, 2007 at 1:55 pm
Hi Joyce, check my links in the post for the “most difficult puzzles” and there should be a link to a solution for pawns.
December 20, 2007 at 12:23 am
Great game! I was able to finish it a few times on my own. A few of the puzzles did stump me, but was able to figure it out with a little patience.
Can’t wait for the sequel!
Just one question though … when I go to the wall with all the puzzles, (if I click on the left arrow when in the study) … only some of them are playable, and I get the message saying that I can’t play the puzzles until I unlock them in the game, however I’ve finished the game. Do I need to wait for Azada 2 to unlock some of them .. so that I can play the puzzles on their own without having to restart my game ?
Thanks!
December 20, 2007 at 4:29 pm
The only thing I can think of is if you started playing a game again with a NEW profile and you haven’t finished it in that profile yet. If you go into the profile you finished the game with, all the mini-games should be available.
December 29, 2007 at 5:25 pm
I’m in the Basement and when I try to use the corkscrew on the bottle, I keep getting the message that these items do not work together. I watched your video, but just can’t seem to get the two pieces to interact. Has anyone else run into this?
Thanks
December 30, 2007 at 6:34 pm
Thanks for all your tips Sally! Looking forward to a sequel!

A good solution of the Pawns (English solitaire marble jump) puzzle is:
In the pipes puzzles you must use ALL the pipes and valves before the connection is made.
January 25, 2008 at 12:05 am
Really great walkthrough. It helped me out through several of the puzzles. I really appreciate it!
January 26, 2008 at 2:57 pm
The darts do not stick in the dartboard in Birthday Party. Sequence is fireplace, balloon, pinata, donkey, right? Have spent the entire 45 minutes twice on this thing? Any ideas what I am doing wrong please someone????
February 10, 2008 at 3:37 pm
I really like this site bc it helped me out alot so i decided to return the flavor…lol
I found out how to get the crystal on the Machine….it’s:
Right,Right,Open,Down,Down,Down,
Close,Up,Up,Up,Left,Left,Open.
This completes both the code and the mission.

February 14, 2008 at 5:28 pm
I am totally stuck at the Balancing Act puzzle. I have everything completed in the puzzle until the combination lock which I am told to decipher using the symbols on the wall. I can’t figure out what to do here. I’ve tried every way I can think of of moving the dial (i.e. going past the number, etc) but it still tells me when I’m done with the sequence, “We should decipher the code first.”
Am I supposed to move the dial continuously through all four numbers, or should it stop? If I try to stop it seems to reset itself.
Any ideas?
The code translates to: 3 – Left – 3 Right – 1 – Left – 1 – Right
thank you!
February 19, 2008 at 6:02 pm
on the shapes do you put the squares on the left side where it has the box with orbs or the right side with arror

HELP! THE TOWERS ARE KILLIN’ ME! I have seen several requests here for a solution, and all the links given for the “Hanoi Towers” puzzle are for puzzles with 3 rings. How do you deal with the 5 rings?
March 3, 2008 at 12:18 pm
Hi Stevan,
there is a link above to the more difficult puzzles. If you follow that, you’ll get also a link to a hanoi tower SOLVER. I’ll link it here as well.
http://www.cut-the-knot.org/recurrence/hanoi.shtml
March 3, 2008 at 1:09 pm
Thanks,Sally. Within the site was a link to a solution for up to 8 rings, and a time delay controller which lets you slow down the process so you can learn it or write it down. It was not in English, but hey, if you are smart enough to play Azada, you should be able to figure the language out.THANKS!

Could you give me a hint on clockwork? I know the order of which clocks to set. I set the cucoo, then attempt to set the others and am told that was incorrect and the lights go out. Please hHelp?
March 7, 2008 at 9:24 pm
The clue in the “box” tells you what order to set the clocks.
March 7, 2008 at 9:28 pm
Did anyone else find that sometimes the games didn’t work in spite of the fact that you’ve done everything wrong?
I found with the tangram and the matchsticks that I’d move pieces in the right place only to have nothing happen.
March 9, 2008 at 2:06 pm
Hi Hanna. I know the order in which to set the clocks. It’s just what to set them to. In the avi the wakeup clock is set at 3:25. it gets re-set to 5:00. Where did that number come from?

I’m stuck with the pipes puzzle too 😦 i really don’t understand how to fix them together ! help help help !
March 27, 2008 at 2:10 pm
I’m stuck in the tomb. It seems like the game is bugging in my computer, no matter what I do it still just says “we may need to find the code” when I try to use the dial. I’ve done everything excactly as in the tutorial video shown above, I’ve even played through the entire game from the beginning again but it’s still the same. 😦 It’s too bad, I really liked this game!

Thanks
April 17, 2008 at 10:59 pm
Dear all,
I had very little problems of going through the game.. finished the game very recently… however, i find this site is very useful in giving directions of how to solve the difficult puzzles (especially the pawns – drove me nuts!!)
it takes a lot of effort to complete each one of them and it’s just so challenging!!!
April 22, 2008 at 2:04 pm
If you’re having problems making certain puzzles work, like rotating pieces and getting the arrows to work, try switching the buttons on your mouse. I have mine reversed because I use my left hand, but when I switched it back everything worked fine.
April 22, 2008 at 3:50 pm
i’m loving this game. i have 2 questions:
1. i’m stuck on the puzzle by numbers page in chapter 7. i’ve tried and tried to click on the numbers to subtract but nothing is working. (ex. 6-2=4) when i played it in an earlier chapter there was no problem. i’ve done this chapter right until the end but i ran out of time in the library. i did have to use an orb to skip over this puzzle the first time because it didn’t work then either.
2. in the library the coordinates given wouldn’t work no matter what i did. i did pay attention to negatives and north/south. still nothing worked. help!!!
April 22, 2008 at 4:13 pm
lol i check the instructions on the numbers game again and noticed that it’s a 3 part solution. oops :o) i do still need help on the library map coordinates though. thanks. great site.
April 28, 2008 at 6:08 pm
Just a hint on the “Round and Round” puzzle-first move all the “inside” colored blocks closer to where they will be used. Then fill in the correct colors in the blocks.
Works for me. My problem is with the tomb
dial which I’ve noticed several people have
had also. I’m still trying though.
April 28, 2008 at 6:23 pm
hi. i’m still waiting to hear about the library map. i’m having difficulty with the coordinates. i click on the right ones (yes i’m paying attention to negatives and n/s). still nothing is happening. i’ve tried doing the puzzle twice and both times nothing happens when i do the map. can anyone help me? i’d be thrilled. thanks.
May 19, 2008 at 3:49 pm
Sally,
youre my only hope! Im having trouble with the matchstick puzzle.. I lost the first time and it should have been easy- I had to make the fish point right instead of left. I knew where to put the matchsticks but it wouldn allow me to put them where they needed to go.
Now I have a new matchstick puzzle but I dont get this one I know how to get 4 boxes but it wont let me move the matchsticks again. When I put it in place the computer puts it back where it was. Any thoughts?

sally, are you able to help me with the map co-ordinates? i really love the game but can’t go any further until i get the map. please, please advise. thx so much.
May 21, 2008 at 9:06 pm
Hi Sharon, did you take a look at the library coordinates walkthrough linked from the top in the main article?
May 22, 2008 at 6:35 pm
Sally, thanks so much for all of the tips here. I wouldn’t have been able to solve the game without your help!
A couple of other tips that helped me:
Towers of Hanoi:
http://www.cut-the-knot.org/recurrence/hanoi.shtml
When I got to six rings, I knew I couldn’t figure this out myself! I had to toggle back and forth between this site and the game, and copied the moves step by step.
Peg Solitaire:
I was clueless on this, even with Sally’s solution, which was too complicated for me to follow. This one worked better for me:
http://www.mathematische-basteleien.de/solitaire.htm
I actually drew a large diagram of the hole numbers, and I was able to follow the steps (15-17, 28-16) pretty quickly.
I’m eager for the next game, “Puzzle Book,” and hope Sally will be here to help us through that one as well!

I just HAVE to share!! I got the circle puzzle in 2 minutes!! Look closely, and you can see a light area on EACH ring… Start with the outside ring, and line up the LEFT edge of the light spot with the LEFT SIDE of the LIGHT spot on the next ring (inside). Drag your cursor from the outer to the inner ring, and make sure it is lined up. Then do the same with the 3rd ring….. You will see a light rectangular (kinda) shape, that continues through to all but the final (middle) ring. The middle ring, I just twisted, and when it was right…. BLAMMO! It was done!!
The trick is to look at the faint shadow, and not the whole thing. It honestly was easy when looked at in this manner!! Good luck!!

What do the words “Magic Book” mean at the end? Thanks
August 21, 2008 at 2:59 pm
Thank you so much for the tips. I certainly enjoyed many parts of the game. I also found some way to easy and even silly. I expected the last puzzle to be much more difficult. I decided to try the game since big fish had it on sale for 99 cents. Not sure if I’d buy the next :Magic Book” game or not. Again, many thanks!
August 26, 2008 at 7:48 pm
In Chapter 7 I cannot get the number puzzle to work no matter what I do, it says to find 7 so I did 9-2 and nothing happens then I try 8-1 and nothing happens I cannot add two numbers together as there are no addition signs on the page it is like the puzzle is stuck and will not work has this happened to anyone else please.
August 29, 2008 at 7:54 pm
Hi. My question is this, I played the first game quite awhile ago, and I wrote down the code, and I have lost my code. Is there a “generic” code I can use?
August 29, 2008 at 7:57 pm
Sorry, I missed the question posted by asm. I will try that code. Thanks everyone!
September 1, 2008 at 9:44 pm
Pat,
reread the instructions. You must use a number the – sign, another number, another minus sign and a number like 9-1-1
I made the same mistake.
September 2, 2008 at 7:49 pm
Just finished. Thanks for the hints.
September 7, 2008 at 7:11 pm

I’d like to find out the answer to #8.
September 30, 2008 at 8:11 am
The first azada (not Ancient Magic) game has a glitch, I believe. I’m on the 10th book which has a Numbers Puzzle. No matter How many times I give the correct answer, the puzzle just keeps going and going like the energizer bunny.
Ex: ‘Find 3’ Answer: 9-3-3. Puzzle takes the numbers and drops down new numbers. Or I could answer as: 9-4-2. The game gives me new numbers and just keeps on with a ‘find ?’.
I’ve started this book over four times. Let’s say I get to this numbers puzzle with 33 min left; I keep answering and the game keeps giving me new numbers to work with.
Am I doing something wrong? I have version 1.0.2. Thank you for any help/suggestions/ideas given.

DECiPHERiNG -> SOLUTiON
You can see some signs in a book.
There are pairs of them…
Something like
XX XX
XX XX
First sign of each pair is NUMBER
Second sign of each pair means Left or Right Turn
FOR EXAMPLE
The solution for my picture is
2xRight 3xLeft
2xRgiht 1xLeft
Thats it 😉

saw that mike wrote this back in 2007 but there are a couple newer posts from people who are further along than me so thought i’d take a chance – i cannot get the pipes puzzle to work. there are no gaps. i had the same problem with the matchsticks as someone else mentioned before too – the puzzle would not allow me to lift more than 2 sticks. i finally ran out of time screwing with it and when it gave me a new puzzle the sticks moved fine. i have azada 2 which also has some big glitches and quits often. can anybody help me with the pipes? do you have to use every pipe section? i would assume you just have to connect w/ no open ends. i don’t think you could use each section i have a puzzle where some sections are alone. so frustrated! help!

Would like to know where one gets the nice pointing clicker for clicking on things. I am having a lot of trouble in the library chapter 7. The screen reads out both coordinates fine when I use my finger but wont let me click. I noticed the walkthrough has a nice clicker. I play on a Kindle Fire and thinking that the clicker will help me click on the coordinates better than my finger will. Been stuck here for 2 days! Help!

Thanks for the points you have discussed here. Something else I would like to mention is that computer memory needs generally increase along with other breakthroughs in the technological know-how. For instance, any time new generations of cpus are made in the market, there’s usually a matching increase in the size and style preferences of all personal computer memory in addition to hard drive room. This is because the program operated by simply these processor chips will inevitably increase in power to benefit from the new engineering.
