I got stuck on Chapter 13. All it wants me to find is the cloth or blanket. It is all three slots and it won’t let me do anything. Did this happen to you?

There seems to be a showstopper bug RIGHT at the second puzzle of chapter 13. Hopefully, BFG will hear about this from more than one user and this will be fixed.
That’s the problem with beta testing…1 hour doesn’t pick up the bugs that happens AFTER the first hour.

If this isn’t the pits 13-2. Absolutley a stopper. otherwise it seems like a great game. I just hope that once they fix this problem there aren’t more to follow.

I am stuck at 13:2 also. I just downloaded the game. I am glad to hear that I am not the only one that is having this problem. What can be done to get it fixed?

BFG is working on the issue. Nevosoft is based in Russia, but I’m sure it’d be fixed soon.
It’s just a simple level edit mistake by the looks of things.

The game is fixed….it was fixed yesterday. Big Fish Games said to uninstall the game and then reinstall it…at least on BF Game site that is.

I really like the game, but in addition to the show stopper bug which BFG has released the fix for, I found some absolutely terrible English, as well as a bug where a Mug is labeled as an Elephant in stage 10 level 1.
There is a file:
C:\Program Files\Pirateville\data\txt\2\comics.txt
which contains the majority of the text in the game. I have edited that file to make it more appropriate English. I did not fix all the places where the English is awkward, but I believe I fixed the most egregious errors.
In addition, in stage 10 level 1, the clue says to look for an Elephant, but the hint points out a Mug. I have also fixed the level file which is found at:
C:\Program Files\Pirateville\data\levels\stage10\level_01.lev
I e-mailed my changes to BFG, but I am not sure where else to send them. Do you have any ideas?

Hi Amy, the best place to send the file is Nevosoft, but meanwhile, if you want to share them here, you could upload them to a free hosting site (I use bestsharing or mooload) and we can post the link here.
BFG is a publisher and they’re not really responsible for the content of the games, and they can’t really go in and change the games. Nevosoft is the publisher and they’re based in Russia.

at level 28 i am stuck. ‘got the scale ‘ the scroll, candlestick and magnifien glass are the problem. when i take the scroll, it removes the magnify glass, when i take the candlestick it removes the scroll, so it leaves the candlestick to remove according to the list, but the thing i cant remove in real is the magnifyglass. what can i do?

I couldn’t play Pirateville after it was installed. Once it got to the load part, the blue bar would stop about halfway and the game would close. After redownloading the game and reinstalling multiple times I finally changed the compatibility mode to windows 98 and then it was fine. It loaded as it should have and I was able to play with no problems. I’m using WinXp home edition btw.

That was a pretty weird one. One group is the “entire thing” and the other is “part of the entire thing”

I am a Spaniard. The English of this game is awful!!
I won’t let my children play it, as they are learning the English Language and this game has a lot of mistakes.
I am also stuck at level 28

I’m stuck on stage 7 where I need to click on the pairs of items. For some reason I cannot “click” on the mushrooms near the center of the screen. Has anyone else had a problem wiht getting an item on the screen to be “clicked” or “highlighted”?
Any suggestions as to what I need to do to fix this problem? Since you got past it, I assume the problem is with my system and not directly a game related bug.

Same problem Jean. Had it happen once before with an egyptian mask or something but was finally able to click somewhat close to the mask and get it to “match.” But, I have clicked the entire screen for the mushrooms with no luck. Just downloaded it yesterday so I think the bugs mentioned previously have been fixed.
Help with the mushroom issue anyone?

diane/ you might have an old version of the game if you haven’t re-downloaded the game since it came out – try unsintalling and reinstalilng from BFG.

i cannot get past level 28 …everything is mixed up and it shows that the last thing i have to find is the candlestick (even tho i already found it!) it won’t let me click on the magnifying glass or the coiled rope and even the hint won’t work! …help!

Ok I got around the problem in Stage 13. Here what I did. Exit game. Go into the Pirateville folder and open the Data Folder and then open the Level folder. Open Stage 13 and delete “Level 02.lev” file. Now start the game again and when it says find the cup my game actually went back to finding the mason jars. Find all the mason jars and it lets you win the level and continue on with the game. I am now on Stage 14. Hope this helps, it worked for me.
